A field visit was conducted in the People’s Republic of China

Under the coordination of the Ministry of Health and with the participation of Health Minister Prof. Dr. Kemal Memişoğlu, a delegation consisting of members of the TOBB Türkiye Pharmaceutical Industry Council and the TOBB Türkiye Medical Council paid a field visit to the People’s Republic of China.
During the visit, the latest developments in the People’s Republic of China’s health technologies, pharmaceutical production, and medical device sectors were examined on site. Turkish health sector representatives held meetings with their Chinese counterparts to exchange information and evaluate potential opportunities for cooperation.
The purpose of the visit was stated as strengthening the global integration of Türkiye’s healthcare industry, developing new strategies to increase domestic production capacity, and advancing cooperation between the two countries in the field of healthcare.
International science and innovation centers supporting healthcare production in the capital Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen were visited. Factories in the region were toured to examine work processes and production activities on site. Opportunities for cooperation in advanced healthcare technology production, R&D processes, and innovation were evaluated, and information was gathered on digitalization efforts in healthcare.
Following the visit, the parties agreed that similar efforts should continue and that work should begin to translate areas of cooperation into concrete projects.
